Mueller Steam Specialty Smart Strainer provides users with performance data of their duplex strainer and enables informed decisions to be made pertaining to maintenance of the strainer. The Smart Strainer provides a proactive way to avoid expensive repairs and for efficient and smooth operation of the overall system.
Designed for use in fluid handling systems where the flow cannot easily be shut down for basket cleaning. Typical applications include, but are not limited to, cooling water, compressors, condensers, fuel lines, lubrication systems, salt and freshwater systems, chemical process systems, pump suction service, and other similar applications. Features
- Sizes 2 - 6 IN (50 - 150 MM)
- SentryPlus Alert technology comes standard on all sizes, with two pre-installed pressure sensors at the inlet and outlet of the strainer
- A connection kit is required to activate the pressure monitoring capability and collect data from the sensors (kit sold separately)
- Connection kits are available for BMS systems (RS-485 MODBUS or BACnet) or alternate cellular communication gateway is available if no BMS is present (alert only, no streaming)
- Stainless steel body and 304 stainless steel basket designed to ensure minimum pressure drop
- Designed for fluid handling applications where flow cannot be shut down for basket cleaning
