Figure 10
High Capacity Cast Iron Safety Relief Valves
Series Figure 10 High Capacity Iron Cast Safety Valves are ASME Section IV safety relief valves designed for industrial and commercial low-pressure steam heating boilers and associated equipment. Standard pressure settings for saturated steam service are 5 thru 15psi. The Figure 10 valve features tight shutoff, sharp popping and closing action, and a high degree of repeatability. The valve inlet and body are one integral casting assuring proper alignment of disc, seat, and spindle for smooth action. The disc is located by a disc guide which in turn is held in place by a zinc-plated wave spring. The entire assembly is contained by a combination bonnet/compression screw. The simplicity of the design makes these valves more economical and contributes to their dependability.
